1970 Vintage Amphora Base for Table Lamp

A singular piece of vintage sophistication, this base of table lamp was handcrafted in the 1970s at the Ceramiche Alvino Bagni, near Florence. Made on a lathe using red clay, it is enriched with hand-engravings and loops applied on the still-fresh clay. Several layers of enamel in gradients of almond and light blue are applied using an airbrush to create a superb chromatic effect.
