Amethyst was a nymph of the woods who in trying to escape the attentions of the god Bacchus, asked to be transformed into a crystal. In this sideboard the delicacy and beauty of Murano crystal is encased in steel. The console top and shelf are made of Murano crystals hand-set on silver foil.
