Gold Leaf Pear

This wooden pear sculpture by Pietro Arnoldi was created from teak wood, coated on one side with gold leaf, and has a stem made from a nail that was forged and beaten by hand. This piece is one of only ten pieces to have been created by the artist in Turin and bears his fire-branded stamp on the bottom.
