Pesci Set of Six Plates #7

Bold and unconventional, ceramicist Luca Leandri pushes the boundaries of decorative art with this set of plates from the Pesci series. Reminiscent of Paul Klee's iconic drawings, this plate features the image of a fish carcass floating on a boat on the sea under the heat of a yellow sun. The playful irony of the piece calls the viewer to engage with the plate as both a work of art and functional object. Variations in color and design are signs of an entirely handmade crafting process. The set can be customized by selecting a different motif for each plate.
